Since all cleaners leave small traces of residues, we started studying how the cleaner residue alters the surface energy of the bowling ball. Using this knowledge, we were able to create a cleaner that not only cleans great, but is mild to the user. Scuff formula removes marks, dirt, lane oil, and grime. In addition, Power Gel® Scuff will remove minor surface scratches. When used on bowling balls with a polished finish, Power Gel® Scuff will increase surface friction and improve hooking power.
A unique benefit of Power Gel® Scuff is that the scouring compound also doubles as an oil absorber. Just apply it to the ball surface and allow it to dry to a powder. As it dries, lane oil is lifted from the pores of the cover stock and captured. When the material is completely dry, just brush or vacuum it from the ball surface.
